Theoretically possible?

In the book The Science Redemption,

Pallavi Sharma's dad tells her in 1987, that the Hubble Space Telescope, which was being constructed by the US, would give us a clear picture of the Big Bang.

Pallavi was left wondering then how a present day telescope could tell us anything about what happened 13.8 billion years ago

In 2011, she finds out how...
Later she calculatest that it may be  theoretically impossible....

Any answers or guesses?

  1. What do you mean theoretically impossible? Also, afaik , it's WMAP not hubble that's trying to study the big bang. The radiation from that event has probably decayed out of hubbles spectral range.
